This is the first drawing in a 10 drawing mini series that I will be calling “Arcs” from here on out. Essentially each Arc has a central story or theme that weaves through each of the ten drawings. This is the first Arc in the series. It is a small glimpse into my spiritual journey throughout my life.
My spiritual journey is also party integrated with my diagnosis of schizophrenia in 2020, because I find psychosis can often be a deep spiritual experience.

The guide. Early into myself showing my first signs of psychosis, I had found myself in the middle of the Californian desert in Joshua Tree National Park. The place is known as a “vortex”, which is an area where energy pools and is concentrated. Easy for people to have grand spiritual experiences there given the right conditions.

There were two crows that beckoned me to follow them into the desert. Leapfrogging to each cactus only if I kept following. It lead to quite an initial story for my life. Which I will go further into detail in my 365 Project Book.
