ARTIST SHOWCASE

The Artist Showcase is an evolving space dedicated to discovering and supporting independent artists across disciplines.

Expect traditional and digital art, music and production, film and photography, game design, body art, sculpture, fashion, mixed media, writing, performance, and whatever else refuses to fit neatly into a category.

Each showcase will introduce you to the artist behind the work: who they are, what they create, what drives them, and where their ideas come from. You’ll be able to explore their work, find ways to purchase or support it when available, visit their social platforms and websites, and, for selected artists, read deeper interviews about their process, experiences, and perspective.

This is not meant to be a ranking of artists or a gatekept gallery. It is a place for different disciplines, styles, backgrounds, and ideas to exist beside one another, giving artists another place to be seen and giving visitors somewhere to discover work they may never have encountered otherwise.

The Artist Showcase is being built now, and applications are open for future features.

Artist Showcase applications

Apply to be featured.

Barely Improved is building the Artist Showcase to introduce independent artists and their work to new people. If you want to be considered for a future feature, tell us who you are, what you make, and where we can see the work.

Submitting an application does not guarantee a feature. Applications are reviewed individually, and selected artists may be contacted for more information before anything is published.

Link a portfolio, website, social profile, public folder, or specific work that best represents what you make.

By submitting, you are asking to be considered for a future Artist Showcase feature. Your work will not be published from this application alone without further communication.
