The Palimpsest: Sine Fine Tee is the signature garment of BarelyImprovedStudio. Designed as a permanent staple of the studio’s collection, it embodies the meaning of barelyimproved, not as an admission of defeat, but as a declaration of persistence.
Featuring the studio’s Gothic wordmark on the front and its dictionary-style definition across the back, the garment serves as both an introduction to the brand and a wearable statement of its philosophy.

Printing & Longevity
This garment uses Direct-to-Garment (DTG) printing, rather than Direct-to-Film (DTF) transfers.
DTG printing applies ink directly to the fabric instead of adhering a separate printed film to its surface. This creates a softer, more integrated finish without the plastic-like transfer layer associated with DTF printing.
Because there is no applied transfer film, the design will not peel or melt as a film might. However, like any printed garment, the ink can gradually fade or develop wear with repeated washing, friction, and prolonged sun exposure.
Proper care will help preserve the artwork, its detail, and the garment’s appearance over time.
Garment Care & Preservation
