Fair Maiden, Thy Siren, Thy Love, To the Depths for Thee

Ahhh, your classic mermaid or sea banshee? Is that what they're called? Im thinking of siren! These creatures of common mythology and folklore around the seven seas. I think they are also an Irish Folklore, you can correct me if Im mistaken. What a strike to the male ego eh? A beautiful being. Half fish, half topless woman, whom sings so beautifully it lures you off your ship and into the water so it can swiftly kill you. I imagine this was a common explanation of men going overboard back in the day. Only right way to explain a man just jumping ship eh? Must've been a beautiful woman with a hypnotizing voice. I tell you history is both funny, absurd and accurate. If you saw this maiden, would you curl up from your own "manly" nature?
